Introduction
A delicious, high-protein alternative to traditional burgers. These savory tuna patties are packed with fresh herbs and crunchy celery, paired perfectly with homemade, crispy, and sweet deep-fried sweet potato chips. Ingredients: 3 cans of tuna (drained) 500 gr. appr. 1 small onion, finely diced 1 stalk of celery, finely diced 2 eggs Fresh parsley, chopped 1 tsp ground sweet paprika Salt, to taste 2 large sweet potato cca 250 gr Vegetable oil (for deep frying) A splash of olive oil (for frying the burgers)
  1. Prep the vegetables: Finely dice the onion and celery.
75 Gram Onion 20 Gram Celery
  2. Make the tuna mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, diced onion, and celery. Add the 2 eggs, chopped parsley, ground sweet paprika, and salt. Mix everything thoroughly until well combined.
75 Gram Onion 20 Gram Celery 110 Gram Egg 3 Gram Salt
  3. Prepare the sweet potato: Peel the sweet potato. Using a potato peeler, slice the sweet potato into long, thin strips to create the chips.
  4. Fry the burgers: Shape the tuna mixture into burger patties using your hands. Heat a small amount of olive oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the patties for about 7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Fry the chips: While the burgers are cooking, heat vegetable oil in a deep pot or fryer. Deep fry the sweet potato strips until they are crispy and golden. Drain them on paper towels and season with a pinch of salt.
    3 Gram Salt
  6. Serve the tuna burgers warm alongside the crunchy sweet potato chips!
